  CHECK PHYSICIAN RECORD

MD Disciplinary

According to the Federation of State Medical Boards, nationwide 3,968 prejudicial actions were taken against doctors in 2009. The most common reasons for these actions were quality of care, unprofessional conduct and substance abuse. Prejudicial actions include but are not limited to license revocations, suspensions, probations and other type of restrictions. To date 47 State Medical Boards have made this information public on the web. Public Citizen, the consumer rights group founded by Ralph Nader in 1971, inspected all these websites and it has found that the information available varies greatly and can be difficult to access.
