ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

• ADHD occurs in 3-5% of children aged 5-12 years

• It is about 5 times more common in boys

Often is fidgety Often leaves seat when remaining seated is required Often runs or climbs excessively Often acts as "driven by a motor" Often talks excessively Answers before questions are completed Has difficulty awaiting turn Interrupts or intrudes on others
3	The above cause significant impairment in functioning

  If you answered YES to the above questions your child might have ADHD and could benefit from psychiatric treatment ( medication, individual psychotherapy etc.).
